17. BEDKNOBS AND BROOMSTICKS

This episode we take a trip down Portabello Road and into the Beautiful Briny Sea as we discuss the outlandish, nostalgic fever dream that is Bedknobs and Broomsticks. This 1971 Disney movie musical stars the fabulous Angela Landsbury and for all its technical achievements (it did win an Oscar, after all), we’re going to talk about why this film still lives in the shadow of its more popular twin: the classic Disney musical, Mary Poppins.
